Kanabec Hospital partners with Timber Trails Public Transit to Ensure Access for All
Kanabec Hospital believes that transportation issues should not prevent people from seeking the care they need and consequently has begun working with Timber Trails Public Transit to address the needs of its patients. Kanabec Hospital will be providing free passes upon request to community residents who do not have access to other forms of transportation and who would otherwise be unable to visit the hospital or clinic.
The Timber Trails Public Transit provides bus services to individuals in Kanabec and Mille Lacs counties. Transportation passes will be given to patients who need and request that transportation assistance be provided. These passes will be given for the purpose of transportation to and from the hospital or clinic.
Kanabec Hospital strives to be the leader of wellness in our community. The transit program provides another opportunity for Kanabec Hospital to achieve its commitment to our healthy communities. “Transportation concerns should never interfere with an individual’s ability to seek medical care.” Says CEO, Randy Ulseth, “We want to see every person who needs care have the ability to come to our hospital or clinic. We are committed to the health and well-being of our community.”
