Hand Held Radios Donated to Kanabec Hospital
June 2009
The Kanabec Hospital Auxiliary has generously donated hand held radios for the use of the Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). They will be a valuable part of the life-saving efforts that the Kanabec Hospital Emergency Services team undertakes.
Our providers, nurses and technicians are skilled in treating seriously ill and injured patients and they will provide the best care for your needs. Kanabec Hospital emergency services include a new ambulance and 24/7 paramedic coverage. Kanabec Hospital has three full-time Emergency Medicine physicians, over 20 ambulance personnel (paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)), plus specially-trained nurses and support personnel.
The Auxiliary is a volunteer organization that’s purpose is to provide funds and services to benefit Kanabec Hospital and its patients. Auxiliary volunteers manage the Kanabec Hospital Gift Shop, arrange school tours of the hospital, staff their Volunteer Information Program (VIP), provide hand-knitted caps for all new babies, among other things. In addition, the Auxiliary has funded the purchase of medical equipment at Kanabec Hospital.
